Radar sensor for continuous level measurement of liquids and bulk solids

In the non-contact radar level measurement system, the sensor emits microwave pulses from above towards the product. These pulses are reflected by the surface of the material and returned to the sensor. By analyzing the signal’s return time, the device calculates the distance to the surface and thus determines the product level. This technology is commonly used for measuring both liquids and bulk solids.

Advantages of non-contact radar level measurement:

  • High measurement accuracy, even under complex process conditions

  • Reliable performance, regardless of temperature, pressure, or dust presence

  • Simple and intuitive calibration, saving time during installation and commissioning
